Heavy motion
Eastern Front
Three Empires
now confront
Austria-
Hungary,
Tsarist Russia,
and Germany
Three Empires
Waging war
Two Emperors
Against a Tsar
The great inferno
where the fire never ceased
Can you perceive
The thunder in the East
Heavy motion
Eastern Front
Three Empires
still confront
A tumbling giant
against cornered beasts
A raging war
in the wild wild East
The great inferno
where the fire never ceased
Can you perceive
The thunder
The great inferno
where fire never ceased
Can you perceive
The thunder in the East
Burning cities
Burning lands
Burning mountains
Burning expanse
And a thunder day and night
The East burns bright
Almost forgotten war
In the end for all in vain
Three empires are no more
But others‘ll meet again

Blistering blackened death metal with haunting melody lines throughout. The melody never overcomes but rather gives hypnotizing testimony to the churning rhythms threatening to pull the listener below the waves. This is music by which to summon the Great Old Ones. Robert Royer

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10 RJ

What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
